Mexican Taxco bracelet and necklace set, "armadillo" design
Mexican Taxco necklace and earring set, made in 1950's. They are made with overlapping silver discs in what is called the Armadillo design. The necklace is 14" long, with a hidden hook clasp, hidden behind the silver plates to make a seamless look. The bracelet and the back of the middle plate on the necklace are both hallmarked "Taxco" on the back. The bracelet is about 5 1/8" with a opening of 7/8", so it will fit wrists up to 6 1/8". It is 1 3/4" wide at the widest part. A very beautiful set that matches perfectly, and a must have for any collector of Taxco jewelry.
