Navajo Eskiesose squash blossom necklace with elaborate design, 1920's
Eskiesose -made squash blossom necklace, ca. 1920's. The naja is 3" long and 2 1/4" wide, and there are seven squashes on each side of the necklace. The necklace is 20" long, and it has a hook closure at the back. The beads are handmade as well. The najas and the squashes have elaborate designs, with hand-cut curlicues and hand-stamping, which give the necklace a very beautiful look. Natural turquoise cabochons on each squash, with four on the naja. The center one dangles from top of naja.
