Zuni quail fetish, hand-carved out of marble. It is 3 1/8" tall, 2 1/4" wide, and 1 1/4" deep, with inlay turquoise eyes and accents. Native American made. It is by Zuni artist Enrike Leekya, and it is signed on the bottom.
Bird fetishes were thought to carry prayers to the sky asking for rain and blessings.
