Otter with shell fetish by Karen Zuni, marble and abalone
Otter Zuni fetish, made of reddish brown marble, with inlay turquoise eyes, and holding a shell made from abalone. It is 2 5/8" long, 3/4" tall, and 5/8" wide. Handmade by artist Karen Zuni, and signed on the bottom. The otter is floating on its back and holding a seashell. It is carved beautifully with a lot of details and a playful pose.
Otters are thought to be playful and entertaining, and they represent laughter and curiosity.
