Vintage Hopi cylinder vase by the artist Helen Naha, known as the Feather Woman. Her lifespan was 1922 -1993, and she started making pottery in 1940. Artist bio will be included with purchase. Her favorite designs were feathers, water, connected scroll as Muingwa-generative force of nature, sun, rain, spirals, Nachwach-clan handshake, Anasazi black on white and Tularosa designs.
It is signed with her feather hallmark on the bottom. 8 3/4" tall, 5 1/2" wide, with a 3 3/4" opening.
All of the Pueblo pottery is made with the coil and pinch method, made with clay the artists gathered, hand-polished, and traditionally fired. It will be double boxed and fully insured shipping.
