San Ildefonso blackware bowl, by Rose Gonzales (1900-1989). She was an early innovator of deep carved pottery at San Ildefonso. She is known for her distinctive designs with highly burnished surfaces. She uses traditional San Ildefonso geometric designs.
This bowl is in excellent condition.
All of our Pueblo pottery is made with the coil and pinch method, made with clay the artists gathered, hand-polished, and traditionally fired. It will be double boxed with fully insured shipping.
