Tohono O'Odham crown. Worn during Miss Tohono O'Odham Nation Pagents. This one is probably from the 1950s.
Very Rare to find one of these crowns in such great condition.
Three small Baskets are woven onto a head band also made from basket materials. The center basket being a negative squash design. A black cloth tie on back to hold unto the head.
Made with yucca and devils claw with a bear grass foundation. Excellent condition, a unique woven piece.
Measurements: approximately 8" diameter. 4" tall.
