This is the Large Oval Serving Platter from the Boots and Saddle’s line of Westward Ho pieces made by Wallace China in Los Angeles, California and designed by western artist, Till Goodan.
Wallace China used different backstamps over the years, but if a piece has a Wallace China backstamp, it is indeed vintage. The original Westward Ho lines by Wallace China were produced from the 40’s up until the early 60’s.
This serving bowl has the grey back stamp with a date code of “8-S”. Meaning this exact bowl was made in July of 1951 according to Wallace’s production records.
This serving platter is in pristine condition! No damages, chips or cracks.
Measurements: 15 1/2" long and 10 1/2" wide.
