Mayo tribe carved wooden dance mask. This mask was used in a dance. Hand-painted with Natural pigments, hand-carved from cottonwood, with horsehair and cut out eyes. Has more of the three dimensional carving of the Mayo tribe.
Handmade and danced by Yaqui artist Luciano Valencia.
The Yaqui /Mayo Tribes are Native American group that live in Northern Mexico and Southern Arizona.
Measurements: 5 1/4" wide, 4" deep, mask is about 7 1/8" tall, total length with hair is 19".
