Yaqui Indian wooden mask depicting an Native American Indian with headdress, ca 1990s, hand-painted in acrylic and hand-carved from cottonwood, depicting an Indian with feather headdress, with horsehair and mirror accents. Indian has feathers with inlaid mirrors on the side of its face.
Signed on the back. Handmade by Yaqui artist Esteban Gonzalez.
The Yaqui tribe is an Native American group that live in Northern Mexico and Southern Arizona.
Measurements: 5 1/4" wide, 3 1/4" deep, mask is about 9 1/4" tall, total length with hair it is 20".
