Lithograph of a watercolor painting of Old Fort Lowell, by Tucson artist Tad Lamb, a watercolorist artist and printmaker. He is an instructor at The Drawing Studio in Tucson, Arizona.
Fort Lowell was an Army post established near Tucson in 1873, just south of the confluence of the Tanque Verde and Pantano creeks, at the point where they form the Rillito River. At its peak, Fort Lowell comprised approximately 30 adobe buildings. The Fort was abandoned in 1891 and what remains of the original structures can be seen on the grounds of Tucson's present-day Fort Lowell Park.
Framed size measures 16 1/4" by 7 1/4", image size measures 12" by 3".
