Zuni horned toad fetish, hand-carved and signed by Zuni artist Sedrick Banteah. It is made of Picasso marble with inlay turquoise eyes. Signed on the bottom. The detail in the animal shows Sedrick's skill in carving fetishes.
Horned toads represent self-reliance and longevity. They protect ancestral bounty and they are the protectors from lightning. Referred to as Grandfather.
