Vintage Steiff Fox Smardy hand puppet, ca 1960s. A very cute and apparently smart Steiff hand puppet fox with a beautiful bushy fox tail! Fox hand puppet is made of red, white, and black mohair with plastic realistic eyes and plastic whiskers. Head is stuffed with wood wool (excelsior), with a sheath for the puppet player’s finger. Button is missing but he is the one.
Fox’s name is Smardy, he is a bright and crafty fox out of an old arithmetic book of the same name for children.
Measurements: 10" tall (14 1/2" ear tip to tail), 7" deep at widest part (arms)
