Native American Zuni fetish carving of a rattlesnake, made of abalone shell with inlay turquoise eyes. This fetish was handmade by Zuni artist Vivella Cheama, which you don't see much of. There is beautiful detail on the body and rattle of the snake.
Snakes are associated with curative powers, rebirth, rain, fertility, and lightning.
