Original oil on masonite board painting by K.F. Nordwick, "The Peaks (Caught Above the Rim by an Early Snow)" depicts a Flagstaff show scene with cowboy and cattle. The rancher depicted in the painting, Pete Michelback, had his ranch in the Flagstaff area of northern Arizona. And the painting was painted by American artist Karen Fay Nordwick (February 24, 1948 - May 22, 2023). She was born in Arizona and died in Poplar Bluff, Missouri). She painted many of his portraits and the surrounding area where he lived.
