This Zuni Maiden carrying a decorated pot fetish by artist Claudia Peina is 7 1/2" tall, made of shed antler, and inlaid with turquoise, coral and jet. She is carrying a pot on her head, which is inlaid with jet, coral and turquoise. This fetish is beautifully carved, characteristic of Claudia Peina's style.
The Corn Maiden helps to bring a healthy corn crop (abundance), which is an important source of food to the Zuni.
