Acoma-made polychrome pottery moccasin, ca. 1920's. In excellent condition. Has two raised areas on one side to indicate buttons.
Pottery moccasins were made by the Pueblo Indians as a collectible item for tourists at the trading posts and railroad stations between 1870s to 1930s. They have very fine workmanship and are still valued as collector items. A unique Native American find.
Measurements: It is 8" long, about 3 1/2" wide, and 4 3/4" tall.
