Stella Shutiva, (1939-1997), was renown for her corrugated pottery vessels. This is her Owl design. Her corrugated style of pottery was inspired by pre-historic style corrugated vessels. This is one of her classic owls. The entire body is corrugated with appliqué eyes, ears and wings. They are a charming and whimsical style of her pottery. The owl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
All of the Pueblo pottery is made with the coil and pinch method, made with clay the artists gathered, hand-polished, and traditionally fired. It will be double boxed and fully insured shipping.
