Old Tohono O'odham pot, ca., 1900s or earlier. Great condition, fabulously painted design with the traditional dots and water lines. Rim has no chips . Spoke clouds and outside finish smooth and in perfect condition. They were once known as the Papago Indians.
Made of red clay with red designs on the outside. The O'odham live in Sonoran desert south of Tucson. This pottery with a narrow(neck) mouth was made to store saguaro wine made from the saguaro cactus fruit.
It will be double boxed with fully insured shipping.
