Laguna olla, ca.1880s
Old Laguna olla, ca. 1880s. Very rare to find old pottery from this Pueblo. Beautiful polychrome designs with richness to the colors. Has a hairline crack but otherwise the condition is great. The dark red Laguna designs played against the tan of the pot. Has a original old sticker on bottom that reads, "Laguna, old, rare, purchased from Rex Arrowsmith, October, 1965. He bought it from a museum collection" The other ticket says, "Laguna-Old-Rare"
All of the Pueblo pottery is made with the coil and pinch method, made with clay the artists gathered, hand-polished, and traditionally fired. It will be double boxed and fully insured shipping.
Measurements: Measures about 8" tall, 8 1/2" wide at the widest part, and 5" opeming at the top rim.
