Native American Zuni fetish carving of a horse, made of White serpentine with inlay jet eyes. This fetish was handmade by Zuni artist Vivella Cheama, which you don't see much of. Love the character of this sweet horse and the sitting pose.
Horses represent strength, enlightenment, speed, and are thought to possess healing powers. The rain cloud is a sacred symbol to the Zuni, and the heart line gives the fetish medicinal powers and connects us to the spirit of the animal.
Measurements: It is 2 5/8" wide, 1 1/4" tall, and 1/2" deep at the widest part.
