Zuni mountain lion fetish, made of pipestone, with a medicine bundle made of stone shaped like an arrowhead, coral, turquoise and heishi and tied with sinew This is an old fetish, it is not signed and the artist is unknown. This is a beautiful fetish, made in the old traditional style. A great piece for collectors. It has an old repair/tail has been glued back on. Hard to tell, but old repair.
Mountain lions represent resourcefulness, they are power symbols, aiding hunters in big game. They are said to protect travelers.
Measurements: 1 1/4" tall, 2 1/2" wide, and 3/4" deep.
