Zuni resting Buffalo fetish, hand-carved and signed by Zuni artist Wilfred Cheama. It is made of picasso marble with inlay turquoise eyes. Signed on the bottom. The buffalo is posed with its legs under it resting on the ground. The detail in the animal at this pose shows Wilfred's skill in carving fetishes.
Buffalo are considered to be the providers of all, and represent endurance to overcome, and emotional courage.
