Old Navajo Paiute basket, wedding design, ca. 1950s. Made with Sumac natural and died with a rod foundation. The back has a string for hanging. The basket measures about 13 1/2" in diameter, 3 1/2" deep. Great condition. The wedding basket design is traditionally displayed with the opening facing to the east, for abundance and blessings.
