Original oil painting on canvas, of Mission San Xavier del Bac in Tucson, Arizona, by artist Sister Trinitas Nordhus (life span 1927 - 1995). She was born in Seneca, Kansas, as Eleanor Rita Anna Nordhus, and took her vows as a Sister in 1951. She studied writing, philosophy, art, psychology, and theology. While living in Tucson at the Benedictine Monastery, she worked towards her BA in Studio Art at the University of Arizona.
