Zuni fetish carving of a coyote, made of red marble with inlay turquoise eyes. With jet, coral and turquoise sun god inlay on the side. Native American Made. Classic howling coyote pose, with the traditional heart line, and made with a beautiful stone. This fetish was handmade by Zuni artist Lynn Quam, and is signed on the bottom.
Coyotes are tricksters in Zuni legend, associated with laughter and humor. The heart line represents the path the breath takes through the body, connecting us to the animal's spirit.
Measurements: 2 5/8" tall, 2 1/8" wide, and 1/2" deep.
