Santa Clara pottery bowl with twisted handle, Sometimes called engagement basket, 1940's. Has a signature, very hard to read. It is in pencil along with original price of 1.75. Has black on black designs on the sides including rain clouds, rain, and lightning designs. It is Fired in the traditional way to create the black. Excellent condition, with minimal scratches. A small work of art.
Measures about 3 1/4" tall, just over 3" in diameter.
All of the Pueblo pottery is made with the coil and pinch method, made with clay the artists gathered, hand-polished, and traditionally fired. It will be double boxed and fully insured shipping.
