Hardcover - new condition, with dust jacket in archival plastic protector
By Clinton Adams
Fritz Scholder won international acclaim for his work in the medium of lithography. This book documents and illustrated 92 lithographs that Scholder had made in the early 1970's. Scholder is one quarter Indian by birth, and trained in abstract painting. In his work he was striving to transcend the stereotyped romantic vision of the Indian, and his wry, poignant, and powerful images have made him one of America's most controversial artists.
