8 strand natural coral necklace with silver beads and turquoise jaclas
Vintage Navajo-made natural coral necklace with turquoise and clam shell jaclas. Probably around the 1930's or earlier. It has eight strands of natural coral beads, interspersed with handmade silver beads, plus a couple trade beads and shell heishi as well. The silver beads are exquisite because of the small delicate size. The mix of beads, trade bead items and the small cut coral pieces makes this necklace unique.
This necklace measures 31" long, and the jaclas hang about 4 3/4" long.
