Zuni-made inlay bear pendant, by Rudell Laconsello. The bear has an inlay red coral eye, and a heart line made of inlay turquoise, lapis, and coral. Hallmarked by the artist on the back. A modern looking pendant with traditional elements.
Measurements: The pendant measures 1 3/8" wide, and 1" tall, with a 3/8" bail. The bail is about 1/4" in diameter on the inside, so it can fit on strands of beads under 1/4" wide, as well as chains.
The bear is one of the most popular symbol in Zuni. It has protective, healing, strength, power, courage, and adaptability.
