Eagle fetish by Navajo artist, Benny Bently from 1970's
Eagle Zuni fetish, made of carved turquoise with mother of pearl accents standing on a carved pipestone rock. It is 2 1/2" tall,3 wide and 2 1/2 deep. This fetish was handmade by Navajo artist Benny Bently. This is a older fetish from the 1970's. Navajos usually don't do fetishes, But Benny did these flying eagles. Not signed at bottom, but this is his style and his alone. Large scale eagle with very detailed work. Colors may vary slightly.
Eagles are the messengers to the Creator, and they symbolize power, balance, dignity, grace, they are hunters and protectors from the sky.
