Third phase Navajo concho belt, 1930's
Third phase Navajo concho belt, ca. 1930's. Silver and Turquoise. The leather part of the belt is about 50 1/2" long, adjustable, and just over 3/4" wide. The buckle is 3 1/2" by 2 7/8", with four turquoise cabochons, and beautiful hand-stamping repousse. There are six oval conchos with a turquoise stone in the center. they are about 3 1/2" by 2 3/4". Six scalloped butterflies between each concho, 1 1/8" by 2 1/4". All have hand-stamping and repousse, one buttery on the end has a center turquoise, and is different than the rest in design. (see photos). The conchos are leather backed. The quality on this piece is excellent.
