Old Navajo concho belt on wide leather, with turquoise, 1930's
Vintage Navajo concho belt, ca. 1930's. Silver and Turquoise. The leather part of the belt is about 42" long, adjustable, and the leather part is extra wide, over 3 1/4". The buckle is 3 1/2" by 3", with hand-stamping, repousse, and six turquoise cabochons. Great stamping designs, very unique. There are six oval conchos that are about 3 1/2" by 2 3/4", and six smaller rectangular scalloped butterfies in between, 1 1/8" by 2 7/8". All have beautiful hand-stamping, and a small piece of turquoise on each. Great condition, the belt leather is strong and flexible.
From the Richard A. Rosenthal collection.
Wonderful Navajo design.
