Corn maiden fetish by Zuni artist Chad Quandelacy, made of carved picasso marble with turquoise face and inlay turquoise, jet, coral, and spiny oyster shell designs. Has inlay made of mother of pearl, spiny oyster shell, turquoise, abalone, malachite, lapis, and jet inlay on the back. Mounted on a blue lapis base.
The Corn Maiden helps to bring a healthy corn crop (abundance), which is an important source of food to the Zuni.
Measurements: 3" tall, 1" wide and 1 3/8" deep.
