European mortar and pestle, brass, 19th century
Swedish-made mortar and pestle, ca. 1800s, brass. The bottom is stamped with "Skultuna No. 4 1611" and a crown mark, which is from the Skultuna Company, a Swedish brass foundry. The pestle has some wear from use, but the metal still has a good shine.
Measurements: The mortar (cup) is about 3 3/4" in diameter at the rim, and the pestle is 7 1/2" long and 1 1/4" wide at the widest part.
