- Kewa Pueblo inlay shell
Kewa Pueblo inlay shell
Kewa Pueblo carved clam shell with inlay turquoise, spiny oyster shell, and abalone. It is older, probably around the 1970's. The carver used the natural wavy shape of the shell, smoothed it out, and enhanced it with inlay. It has a hole drilled in one end, indicating that it was once used as a pendant. Very unusual piece to find.
Measurements: Just over 2" tall, 7" long and 4 3/4" wide.
