Zuni frog fetish by Ricky Laahty, made of an unusual type of green jasper. It is 1/2" tall, by 1 1/4" long and 1/2" deep. It is signed at the bottom. This fetish was handmade by Zuni artist Ricky Laahty, who is famous for his frogs. The stone is very interesting and has a smooth feel. The funny, quirky frogs are characteristic of Ricky Laahty's style, and this one is a fantastic example of his work. He also carves the bottoms, this one has a butterfly on the bottom with his signature.
Frogs represent fertility and abundance, and they bring the rain, which is important to all life on earth.
