Large Hopi bowl in perfect condition. The sides are very thin for a Hopi pot, the rim is curved inward. You can feel the coils and the smoothness of the pot. The golden color is a wonderful color with the smoke clouds on the bottom.
It feels like silk. The painted slip has a charm about it.
This is one of the best old Hopi bowls I have seen in a long time.
All of our Pueblo pottery is made with the coil and pinch method, made with clay the artists gathered, hand-polished, and traditionally fired. It will be double boxed with fully insured shipping.
