Large Hopi bowl, by Joy Navasie, also known as Second Frog Woman (born 1919, active 1935-1995). She was the daughter of Paqua Naha aka Frog Woman, who taught her the art of pottery. Her favorite designs include rain, cloud, parrots, and feathers. This bowl is in excellent condition. It is signed on the bottom with her frog hallmark.
This pot measures 13" wide, 4" deep.
All of our Pueblo pottery is made with the coil and pinch method, made with clay the artists gathered, hand-polished, and traditionally fired. It will be double boxed with fully insured shipping.
