Hopi-made pottery moccasin pair with whirlwind designs
Hopi-made pottery moccasin pairfrom Oraibi Trading Post, vintage collectible items from 1970s, sold as a pair. Made in the traditional Hopi redware style, with black whirlwind designs around the cuffs. In excellent condition. One moccasin has the original shop tag that says "Oraibi Trading Post" with phone number. Other moccasin says in pencil "Hopi 1972" on the bottom.
Pottery moccasins were made by the Pueblo Indians as a collectible item for tourists at the trading posts and railroad stations. They have very fine workmanship and are still valued as collector items, especially pairs. A unique Native American find.
