Second phase Navajo concho belt
Second phase Navajo concho belt, ca. 1910, from the Lyn Trusdale Collection. Original leather, 40" long, adjustable, and about 5/8" wide. There are 10 conchos altogether, made out of coin silver, hand-stamped and cut, lined with leather. Each one has a Persian turquoise cabochon in the middle, and each is 2 1/4" tall and 3" wide. The buckle on the end is 2 3/8" tall, 3 3/8" wide, and has four Persian turquoise cabochons, one in each corner. Very detailed hand-stamping and bump-outs. Made with substantial silver, weighs 500 grams.
